Our Mission

What do we achieve with Ate, and how do we strive for our goal?

Empowering our future female leaders.

Ate Together strives to provide an opportunity for young girls to explore unique topics that would not typically be offered as a common core class in school. Our mindset is always to spark a new passion, while creating a sister bond! We want our students to come out of each class with a new unique skill that can even be turned into a career, AND have a new friend, mentor, or ‘big sister’ to look up to. Our overall mission consists of these points:

1.
Structured Teaching Method

We like our girls to be able to learn and get things done while having fun.

2.
Building Genuine Friendships

We believe that students are far more engaged when they hold a genuine friendship with the teacher.

3.
Continuous Improvement

We are always looking for ways to encourage and bring new ideas into play.

Every Passion Program session is extremely structured. Just like any class, there is a set lesson plan for each session, with time ranges that give a sense of how long each activity should take.

Our instructors NEVER go into a class without a set plan. The only exception to this is when whey may have to change around the length of each activity based on how long the girls took after their first few sessions.

However, a structured teaching style does not mean instructors MUST follow the lesson plan down to the exact minute; obviously, they still spend time answering questions, talking to the girls, running discussions, and more!

Several minutes in the beginning of each class are dedicated to just getting to know our Ate’s better — to create the ‘sister bond’ we strive for! We require discussions and quick icebreaker activities in each and every lesson plan to encourage this.

In the past, we’ve even built such close bonds with our students that we’ve exchanged contact information (whether it’s through hangouts or iMessage) and regularly communicate with each other even after they’ve completed our classes.

Our board members lead weekly meetings with our instructors to discuss anything that comes up. In these meetings, we always encourage everyone to mention ideas they have for the improvement of Ate, and any feedback!

Plus, we recommend customers to fill out a Passion Program Feedback form so we can further improve each class so your daughters are in the best learning environment as possible!
